Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
MakeWaves Consultants LLC (“MakeWaves,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We keep this short because our data practices are genuinely simple.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
When you fill out our contact form or complete our discovery questionnaire, we collect the information you submit: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), company name, and the answers and business details you share about your operations, challenges, and goals. If you become a client, we also create a secure portal account for you, which stores your login credentials and the records tied to your engagement. We do not collect any of this passively or without your action.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site collects basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This data is collected through cookies and standard server logs. We use this information to understand how the site is being used and to improve it. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to operate this site: our web host, and Google Workspace for the email we send you (such as discovery follow-ups and, for clients, account and invoice notices). These providers process only what is needed to deliver their service and are prohibited from using your data for any other purpose. Their own privacy policies govern the data they handle on our behalf.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, review your discovery questionnaire, send you information you requested, and evaluate whether MakeWaves is a fit for your situation. We do not use your contact information for unsolicited marketing. If you become a client, your information is used to manage your engagement with us and to give you access to your client portal.
We use automatically collected data to monitor site performance, understand traffic patterns, and improve the experience for visitors. This data is not linked to your identity.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may share information with service providers who help us operate this website (such as our web host and Google Workspace, which delivers our email), but only to the extent necessary for those services to function. Those providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MakeWaves or others.
4. Cookies
This site uses cookies for basic functionality, including keeping you signed in to the client portal. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site (such as the portal login) may not function correctly if you do. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
5. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and inquiry records for as long as necessary to respond to your request and maintain appropriate business records. If you become a client, we retain your engagement records for the duration required by standard business and accounting practices. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. This site uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take this responsibility seriously.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information has been collected and the right to request deletion.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
9. Links to Other Websites
This site may contain links to third-party websites, such as LinkedIn. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice.
